[vc_row][vc_column width=”1/1″][vc_column_text]Typically, when you see someone with a shaved head it is a male, but have you noticed the string of female celebrities who have been shaving their heads? Remember the movie V for Vendetta with Natalie Portman? Portman shaved her head in order to play Evey in that film. In fact, Portman didn’t just shave her head, she shaved it as part of the movie. “She loved it and kept rubbing her head.” Says the Director James McTeigue of Portman and her new style. Portman definitely rocked the shaved head hairstyle for females everywhere.
Portman hasn’t been the only female celebrity to shave her head though, the movie G.I. Jane shows Demi Moore shaving her head on film as well. Charlize Theron thinks her shaved head is the most freeing thing, and she even recommends every woman to try it. It was 1992 when Alien 3 was made and Sigourney Weaver became one of the first women in Hollywood to shave her head. Not all celebrities are shaving their heads for roles in movies though, Kellie Pickler, a singer, shaved her head to show her support of Summer Holt Miller, a good friend who was diagnosed with cancer.
Some other celebrities who have rocked the shaved head style include names like Amber Rose, a former stripper, model and actress, Willow Smith, daughter of Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith and even Erykah Badu have all been seen rocking the liberating style.
A shaved head would is much less maintenance, which frees up time for you to do other things, but not everyone who shaves their head can “rock the look” so to speak. Then you have all those people who shave their head for charity or because they have a medical issue that is making their hair fall out. No matter what the reason is, if you feel the need to shave your head, go for it. You only get one life to live, so you better make the most of it![/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space height=”32px”][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/3″][vc_column_text]
