3 Beautiful Braids for Summer

What is a good hairstyle that can look elegant and yet beach worthy, and is easy to do? How about a beautiful braid for this season’s hottest hair trends? You can make your braids look as laid back or as glamorous as you want with a few simple techniques.

Whether you like the full braid that keeps all your hair pulled up or the braid that falls down the middle of your back — you can tweak your braid to suit your own personal style. Add a flower here or a headband there to accent the hairstyle and you have a look that can go from daytime fun to evening glam easy as pie.  I have put together a list of 3 of my personal favorite styles of braids for the summer.

1. The Trendy Messy Braid Bun Up Do – begin by braiding the bangs in a French style braid, leading back the side of the head. Once you have your braid simply pull the rest of your hair into a messy bun and secure. This would be my go to style for a day on the beach or even the gym. By adding a flower above your ear you can make this style look elegant as well.
2. Mermaid Tail Braid – There are many different variations of this popular style of braid. You can find the style that best suits your personality. This braid goes straight down the middle of the back typically but you can always change it up and put it on the side, so that it falls over your shoulder. This style is great for active women who want to keep their hair all in one place and out of their face.
3. Pretty Pony With Braids – This style might be another one of my favorites — it’s really simple to do. We have all seen cornrows, right? Keep that idea in your mind, this style utilizes the concept of cornrows, by braiding the front of the hair either in a French style braid or a couple smaller braids that will combine in the back of the head into a neat ponytail.
