DIY Hair Masks

Hair Aware

Beauty routines can vary from person to person. Just take a look at the everyday fictional fairytale princess; they take the care and effort to brush their hair one-hundred strokes each and every night to keep their hair looking – and feeling – strong and voluptuous. And your average, million-dollar movie star has a team of makeup and hairstyling experts on hand to make certain that every strand and weave is in place and looking perfect.

While you may not be a princess or a movie star, there are other ways to make yourself feel (and look) like one; and it all begins with well-conditioned hair! DIY hair masks are easy, breezy self-made creations that are all made with items you’re more than likely to have kicking around in your pantry!

Ingredients

Eggs, honey and brown sugar are natural ingredients that are great for your hair. Not only do they help to hydrate your follicles, they are also great options for attaining healthier, stronger, shinier hair!

Other ingredients include:

  • Eggs: rich in Vitamins A, D, and E to retain shine and condition hair.
  • Brown Sugar: Exfoliates the hair to eliminate dead skin cells and residue.
  • Coconut Oil: An effective, all-over hair conditioner and hair repair.
  • Lemon: Great for absorbing excess oil and grease.
  • Apple Cider Vinegar: Cleans the hair without stripping any natural oils.
  • Extra Virgin Olive Oil: Locks in moisture and prevents dryness.
